If you wish to be considered for a performing arts scholarship at Centre College, please review the following information and then complete the form below by the
date of your chosen application plan deadline. (Late applicants will be considered on a space available basis).

The performing arts scholarship recognizes musicians, vocalists, actors, and/or theater technicians who have experience in and a commitment to music and/or dramatic arts.
Majoring or minoring in performing arts is not required. International and domestic students are eligible for this opportunity.
Students may apply for a performing arts scholarship in more than one area by submitting additional candidate forms; however, students are only eligible for one performing arts scholarship in one concentration.
Benefits include a scholarship in the amount of $3,000 to $5,000 per year. This scholarship may be combined with another general merit scholarship.
Successful candidates should demonstrate:
• experience in and a commitment to music and/or theatre;
• The desire to participate in the Music or Theatre programs including classes, productions, lessons, and/or concerts. Majoring or minoring in music or theatre is not required.
Recipients of the MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP who enroll at Centre College must:
• enroll in an appropriate ensemble each semester when not abroad;
Your ensemble participation will be determined each semester in consultation with, and approval of your scholarship advisor (a full-time faculty member)
• enroll in applied lessons and/or a music class each semester when not abroad;
• enroll in MUS 116: Foundations of World Views of Music and one of MUS 120: Materials and Structure of Music I, MUS 220: Materials and Structure of Music II, or MUS 232: Music History, Form, and Analysis by or during their junior year;
• successfully pass music courses with a grade of at least a “C”.
Recipients of the THEATRE SCHOLARSHIP who enroll at Centre College must:
• Take Acting 1 (THR 117)
• Take one of Intro to Tech Theatre OR Intro to Design (THR 150 or 160)
• Take one of Foundations of Drama & Theatre 1, Foundations of Drama & Theatre 2, or Theory & Criticism (THR 133, 134, or 230)
• Make a substantial contribution to the life of the Theatre Program each academic year
Applicants may choose to audition in person or virtually, via video. In person interviews and auditions will be scheduled by Victoria Pook, Performing Arts Coordinator. For those choosing the virtual option, videos should be received by the application deadline of your chosen admission application plan.
International and domestic students are eligible for this opportunity.
